Globalizing Standards

A key component of global education is to create interdisciplinary units and assessments as most jobs will require students to incorporate skills from many disciplines.  There are several ways to begin this approach in your own classroom.  One important thing is to take a look at your school, district or state standards to ensure whatever approach you use is meeting the requirements of your building.  In looking at the standards, it is also important to use a global lens.  Here are some examples of globalized standards from my district, state, and Common Core.
